Oh Lord, What Will We Do With The Pirates?

Hello,
and how can people be so stupid? I am listening to the news
about the pirates. Oh Lord, what should we do? You don't
know? Who the hell are you? What are you? Why don't you know? It
is so simple. When one is on board a ship, that is their home
for the duration of the trip. Defend it. God can it really be
that simple? Yes it can. Ask a Texan whether or not they have
the right to defend their home. YES!!!!!, and they do defend
their homes, with force, like guns. YESSSSSSS! Some people get
wasted, what a damn shame, they brought it on themselves. Do I
feel sorry for a drunk that kills himself in a car wreck? Hell
No, they brought it on themselves. Tough snot, not sorry, don't
be so stupid in your next life.
Should I be at sea and encounter a pirate or two. Bang, your
dead, no remorse, not sorry, and don't mess with me and mine,
sucka. The sharks need to eat too. It makes me sick to hear all
of the sorry people in America pander to such BS. Oh, it isn't
such a big issue. You are so right, not till it is you and your
family, then you scream like hell for help. Not a big
issue???????? Forget the government, empower the
legitimate maritime ships to deal with it. Most of the folks at
sea, Captains and merchant marines, are for the most part
military to some degree. They are smart and competent. Let them
deal with it the problem. If an engine fails at sea, do they
call the garage, no; they are smart enough to have someone on
board to deal with it. Hungry, they don't call the fast food
place; Oh, they have someone on board to deal with the food.
Amazing, isn't it? Well, for safety, you forgot? Get real
you global idiots. The answer is right in front of you.
Should you need to step it up a notch, let the military teach
these freeloaders a lesson; blow their ass out of the
water.

I'm quite sure there is a diplomatic reason for why the freighters go about unarmed (even without small arms). I'll speculate two: an armed vessel is treated by other countries as military when in fact they aren't. Secord, and more important, when the crew starts fighting back, you give the pirates cause to give up on taking hostages and simply kill the crews. You pointed out the casualties, but forgot to mention more freighter crewmembers would die than pirates.
It's the ships/cargoes the pirates want, not the crews. If the crews resist, the crews will die. Not a good solution in my mind.
